Hartford sits in Capitol County in Connecticut\'s northeast region, where humid continental weather and ice damming drive most of the roof issues we see. Our local contractors know the architectural shingle systems that hold up here, the ventilation specs the Capitol County inspectors want to see, and the insurance carriers that actually pay claims fairly.
Given Hartford\'s climate exposure, our pros most often recommend architectural shingle or standing-seam metal for residential work. Coastal exposure means high-wind shingles (130 mph rated) and proper deck-to-rafter fastening are non-negotiable.
Connecticut requires a Home Improvement Contractor registration and may require the New Home Construction license for new builds.
Every service below is available throughout Hartford and the surrounding Capitol County area.

"We built our home 40 years ago and put on the first roof ourselves so we were wondering if someone else would meet or expectations. They did and they were wonderful. The roof is perfect, the cleanup exceptional and it was nice to have a manager stay on site for the entire job. I would highly recommend Warren Thompson to anyone."

"I had a great experience with Warren Thompson & Son. I needed new windows and they did a great job. I waited until I had some severe weather before I did my review. All of the seals held, no water or wind infiltration. Great value for the cost considering the work and special colors I needed to comply with HOA requirements. The team that installed my windows, screens, sliding balcony door and new window sills were excellent. Very professional and nice. I highly recommend Warren Thompson and Son Roofing & Siding if you need new windows."

"I would definitely recommend Thompson roofing as they were very professional and responsive throughout the installation of gutters at my house. I did not give them a 5-star because of a couple of minor problems that arose, but that did get resolved for the most part. Firstly, I was not told how the work would be done and was not pleased when the workers walked on my 32-year old shingle roof in very cold/brittle weather. and, even though Mark assured me it would be ok and that the workers knew what they were doing, I think I should have been told when contacted how they would do it. Also there was the problem with the check. We tried to follow what it said when we signed the agreement and promptly delivered half the payment to the office the next day. When the work was finished Mark was expecting full payment and had not my wife taken picture of the check she delivered and asked for a receipt when none was being offered, Mark would not have known (or believed?) that we had already paid half. Lastly I do want to compliment them on their responsiveness. Each time I called with a question, Roy said that he would get back to me and explained that it probably would not be possible that day. Every time he got back to me soon afterward. And when we had a very slight leak after the work was done, Roy talked to Mark and he was out the next day and addressed the issue promptly."
