Florida climate
Florida roofs face specific climate stressors — humid subtropical to tropical conditions plus hurricane wind uplift and salt-air corrosion — that demand different specs than the state next door. Your assigned roofing contractor calibrates material, ventilation, and underlayment to local code and weather load.
| Metric | Florida average | Implication for your roof |
|---|---|---|
| Average annual snowfall | 0″ | Minimal snow load; standard synthetic underlayment is sufficient. |
| Average annual rainfall | 54″ | Drip-edge + valley flashing critical; gutter sizing should match high-volume runoff. |
| Hail risk | moderate | Architectural shingles with sealed strips handle most Florida weather. |
| Hurricane / coastal wind | Yes — coastal counties | 130 mph wind-rated shingles + ring-shank nails for FORTIFIED Roof eligibility. |
For most Florida homes, concrete tile and metal panel are the two most-installed systems. Asphalt shingles remain the most affordable roofing option; standing-seam metal is the longest-lasting (40–70 years).
Roofing services
Roof-Master Florida installs and repairs every residential roof system — architectural shingle re-roofs, standing-seam metal, hail/wind storm restoration, leak repair, gutter installation, and Class 4 impact-rated upgrades — same network across all 478 Florida cities.
| Service | Typical SLA | Most-requested in |
|---|---|---|
| Free roof inspection | Same week | Statewide Florida |
| Storm-damage assessment + tarp | 24–48h | Miami, Tampa |
| Roof repair (leaks, missing shingles, flashing) | 2–3 business days | Statewide Florida |
| Full re-roof (architectural shingle) | 1–3 days on-site | Statewide Florida |
| Standing-seam metal roof installation | 3–5 days on-site | Rural / agricultural areas |
| Gutter installation + gutter-guard upgrades | 1 day | Statewide Florida |
Each service has a dedicated page with pricing, named materials (GAF Timberline HDZ, CertainTeed Landmark, Owens Corning Duration), per-service FAQs, and a licensed local pro for every Florida zip code.

"As of today, September 23rd, I have not received a call from this company aka Window Depot. They did a mis measure on 3 windows & my front door. They're refusing to remeasure them & install them. It appears, their intention is to force me to accept their mistake. I kept my original front door. See images of the difference in heights. My old door is taller than new one including the frame. I encourage those shopping comparison quotes, to also consider Customer Satisfaction Garantees. This Company has lacked in that with me. I'd consider a different company if I would have known Id experience such an ordeal."

"What a wonderful company. From Caleb, who not only sold me on what they do but created a new fan of their company. Hannah, who stayed in contact through the entire process, making sure we had everything lined up like they said it would be. The day of, their quality supervisor was on property multiple times to check on workmanship, their team is the best. They stayed all day until the job was done. Wonderful roofers, carpenters, and clean up. They were picking nails out of the flower beds, blowing off all the porches- it is like they were never here. I highly recommend All Weather to anyone who might possibly consider any roofing needs. Thank you for all your hard work in making my house perfect with its new roof."

"The team at All Weather Roofing and Construction is truly top notch. From the moment I contacted them I was connected to a friendly knowledgeable roofing expert. I had my roof assessed for repairs and was told that repair was possible. I asked if the roof should be replaced and received honest feedback. Sean and the team worked with me to ensure my roof was completed quickly. They were able to start on extremely short notice due to a change in my schedule. This company is very flexible and will do their absolute best to get it done when you need it. I am very happy with the brand new certified roof they installed on my house. I highly recommend All Weather Roofing and Construction to address any roofing needs you have. As you can see in the photos below, All Weather provides quality roofing service."

"After storm damage i was searching for a roofing company and already had one estimate for a fortified roof. The contractor kept delaying things with me so after talking with a co-worker he told me to call Mobile Roofing. I called and spoke with Billy McClain who came to my house that very evening. He went over all that would need to be done to replace my roof. Billy took care of everything for me, was always polite and professional. Billy represents Mobile Roofing very well. My roof was finished in one day and the clean up was complete! The work was so impressive my neighbor three doors down used Mobile Roofing for their roof. Just call Mobile Roof you won’t be disappointed and ask for Billy"

Before any contractor joins our Florida network we pull and verify:
Our regional ops team re-verifies every contractor's documentation every 12 months. We remove any contractor who fails re-verification from the network within 30 days. Network contractors are independent businesses, not employees of RoofPros USA.

If more than 25% of your shingles show storm damage, granule loss, lifting, or curling, full replacement usually beats patch repair on lifecycle cost. Florida insurance carriers also use this threshold — once 25% of a roof slope is damaged by a covered peril, most policies pay to replace the entire slope rather than repair it. The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) treats 25% as the standard repair-vs-replace inflection point.
For a typical 2,000 sq ft (≈22-square) Florida home with architectural shingle, plan on $14,200 including tear-off, decking inspection, ice-and-water shield, drip edge, and a manufacturer-registered warranty. Standing-seam metal runs roughly 2–3× that figure but lasts 40–70 years. Repair-only jobs run $380–$1,800 with $1,100 the average roofing-repair-project spend.
Five red flags every Florida homeowner should watch for: (1) door-knockers showing up after a storm with no local address, (2) demands for full payment upfront — standard deposit is 25–30% with the balance due after final inspection, (3) no written, itemized estimate with named materials and brand, (4) verbal "guarantee" instead of a written manufacturer + workmanship warranty, and (5) no proof of $1M+ general liability insurance and workers compensation. Always verify the contractor in your state's online registry and the BBB before signing.
Late winter through early spring (typically February–April) is the cheapest time to schedule a Florida roof replacement. Demand is lowest, crews have open calendars, and contractors often discount 5–15%. Avoid the August–October peak when storm-damage claims spike. Emergency repairs are available year-round.
Florida requires a Certified or Registered Roofing Contractor license through the DBPR. Miami-Dade and Broward have additional NOA requirements.
Given Florida's humid subtropical to tropical climate, the most popular choices are concrete tile, metal panel, modified bitumen. Local building practices, hail and wind risk, and snow load all factor in — your assigned local roofing contractor recommends the right system after a free inspection.
hurricane wind uplift is the leading roof issue in Florida, followed by salt-air corrosion and UV degradation.
Most Florida homeowners get a written, itemized quote within one business hour of submitting our online form. Your assigned roofing professional schedules an in-home inspection within 2–3 business days, and active leaks get same-day emergency tarping in major metros.
Fall is considered the best time to schedule a roofing project because it often boasts the best temperature range for roof installation. The weather has cooled off from summer highs, but it hasn't gotten too cold yet.
Roof-Master matches you with a vetted Florida licensed contractor in your zip within minutes.
