Arizona climate
Arizona roofs face specific climate stressors — arid desert conditions plus UV degradation and monsoon wind — that demand different specs than the state next door. Your assigned roofing contractor calibrates material, ventilation, and underlayment to local code and weather load.
| Metric | Arizona average | Implication for your roof |
|---|---|---|
| Average annual snowfall | 0″ | Minimal snow load; standard synthetic underlayment is sufficient. |
| Average annual rainfall | 13″ | Standard drip-edge + sealed valleys per IRC R905. |
| Hail risk | moderate | Architectural shingles with sealed strips handle most Arizona weather. |
| Hurricane / coastal wind | No | Standard wind-rated shingles (110 mph) cover inland conditions. |
For most Arizona homes, concrete tile and clay tile are the two most-installed systems. Asphalt shingles remain the most affordable roofing option; standing-seam metal is the longest-lasting (40–70 years).
Roofing services
Roof-Master Arizona installs and repairs every residential roof system — architectural shingle re-roofs, standing-seam metal, hail/wind storm restoration, leak repair, gutter installation, and Class 4 impact-rated upgrades — same network across all 94 Arizona cities.
| Service | Typical SLA | Most-requested in |
|---|---|---|
| Free roof inspection | Same week | Statewide Arizona |
| Storm-damage assessment + tarp | 24–48h | Phoenix, Tucson |
| Roof repair (leaks, missing shingles, flashing) | 2–3 business days | Statewide Arizona |
| Full re-roof (architectural shingle) | 1–3 days on-site | Statewide Arizona |
| Standing-seam metal roof installation | 3–5 days on-site | Rural / agricultural areas |
| Gutter installation + gutter-guard upgrades | 1 day | Statewide Arizona |
Each service has a dedicated page with pricing, named materials (GAF Timberline HDZ, CertainTeed Landmark, Owens Corning Duration), per-service FAQs, and a licensed local pro for every Arizona zip code.

"This roofer ripped us off! There are several things this company did that should serve as warning to anyone considering them as their contractors. 1) They falsified their time sheets. They added an extra hour of time to the bill after i reviewed their sheet. The sheet that i signed ( I received a copy) to the sheet that was included in the billing was different. Their representative called it a 'mistake'. 2) They billed me for their workers lunch break even through they said that time was non chargeable. They lied about it too. The workers said that they did not take any breaks, but after reviewing my surveillance cameras i noticed that one guy left and another worker sat there eating his lunch. Why should I pay $110 an hour for a guy eating his lunch? 3) I went out to sign the paperwork at 2:00 PM, waited while the guy wrote up his sheet on the premises and signed off. They left at 2:10 PM. Their final bill that they sent me showed 3:00 PM. Why should I pay $220 (two guys) dollars an hour for a guy to fill out an invoice? Their shop is literally a 4 minute drive away from our location, what were they doing? Considering these violations I have witnessed, I strongly urge anyone considering these contractors for their project to think twice. Are you going to have surveillance on-site to verify what the workers did? Can you trust they will not increase their projected scope of work to pad their invoices?"

"Had my full roof replaced with any points of entry for rodents sealed up. The work was done on schedule and it was very easy to work with Dave (he was very professional) and the team at Los Gatos Roofing. The place was left very well cleaned up, and the roof looks great!"

"We chose Los Gatos Roofing not only because of their fair pricing and strong reputation (several homes in our neighborhood had recently used them, and we often saw their trucks nearby), but also because of our great experience with Bret Bourbons, the project lead. After getting several quotes, we ultimately went with Los Gatos because Bret was professional, honest, and never pushy. After inspecting our roof, he didn’t pressure us into replacing it, which we really appreciated. The team was extremely professional and well organized throughout the entire project. A big shout-out to Bret, the Ramirez brothers, and the whole crew for their hard work and for completing the roof so efficiently. Thank you!"

"We had an excellent experience with Los Gatos Roofing. We worked with Dave. He is very responsive and kept us informed. Dave said our roof would be done in 2 days. The quality of work is awesome, and so is Dave. I can’t recommend Los Gatos Roofing enough."

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Apollo Roofing Company on a reroofing project, and I can't recommend them enough. From the moment I reached out, their project manager, Guy, stood out from the rest. He was incredibly professional, easy to communicate with, and took the time to thoroughly explain the scope of the project. Guy also pointed out several details that required extra attention, which I appreciated, as it showed his commitment to doing the job right. After contacting multiple roofing companies, it was clear that Guy and his team were the best choice. While their quote wasn't the lowest, it was definitely on the lower end, offering great value for the quality and service provided. The project started promptly the following week and was completed in just three days. The efficiency and responsiveness of the team were impressive, and they left the job site clean, with the only exception being some particles that got blown into my house due to an open window (which was my oversight). Overall, the experience was smooth and stress-free, thanks to Guy's leadership and the hardworking crew. If you're in need of roofing services, I highly recommend Apollo Roofing Company for their professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail."

Before any contractor joins our Arizona network we pull and verify:
Our regional ops team re-verifies every contractor's documentation every 12 months. We remove any contractor who fails re-verification from the network within 30 days. Network contractors are independent businesses, not employees of RoofPros USA.

If more than 25% of your shingles show storm damage, granule loss, lifting, or curling, full replacement usually beats patch repair on lifecycle cost. Arizona insurance carriers also use this threshold — once 25% of a roof slope is damaged by a covered peril, most policies pay to replace the entire slope rather than repair it. The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) treats 25% as the standard repair-vs-replace inflection point.
For a typical 2,000 sq ft (≈22-square) Arizona home with architectural shingle, plan on $11,400 including tear-off, decking inspection, ice-and-water shield, drip edge, and a manufacturer-registered warranty. Standing-seam metal runs roughly 2–3× that figure but lasts 40–70 years. Repair-only jobs run $380–$1,800 with $1,100 the average roofing-repair-project spend.
Five red flags every Arizona homeowner should watch for: (1) door-knockers showing up after a storm with no local address, (2) demands for full payment upfront — standard deposit is 25–30% with the balance due after final inspection, (3) no written, itemized estimate with named materials and brand, (4) verbal "guarantee" instead of a written manufacturer + workmanship warranty, and (5) no proof of $1M+ general liability insurance and workers compensation. Always verify the contractor in your state's online registry and the BBB before signing.
Late winter through early spring (typically February–April) is the cheapest time to schedule a Arizona roof replacement. Demand is lowest, crews have open calendars, and contractors often discount 5–15%. Avoid the August–October peak when storm-damage claims spike. Emergency repairs are available year-round.
Arizona requires a Roofing Contractor (R-42 / C-42) license from the AZ Registrar of Contractors with a $9,000+ bond.
Given Arizona's arid desert climate, the most popular choices are concrete tile, clay tile, foam roof. Local building practices, hail and wind risk, and snow load all factor in — your assigned local roofing contractor recommends the right system after a free inspection.
UV degradation is the leading roof issue in Arizona, followed by monsoon wind and thermal cracking.
Most Arizona homeowners get a written, itemized quote within one business hour of submitting our online form. Your assigned roofing professional schedules an in-home inspection within 2–3 business days, and active leaks get same-day emergency tarping in major metros.
