Wahpeton sits in Richland County in North Dakota\'s midwest region, where humid continental to semi-arid weather and snow load drive most of the roof issues we see. Our local contractors know the standing-seam metal systems that hold up here, the ventilation specs the Richland County inspectors want to see, and the insurance carriers that actually pay claims fairly.
Given Wahpeton\'s climate exposure, our pros most often recommend standing-seam metal or Class 4 impact shingle for residential work. Hail risk is significant here, so Class 4 impact-rated shingles or stone-coated metal often pay back through insurance discounts of 5–25%.
North Dakota requires a Contractor License from the Secretary of State for any work over $4,000.

"0 Stars — Extremely Disappointed with Fargo Roofing and Siding Fargo Roofing and Siding roofed my house on June 13, and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. During the project, they left part of my roof open while it was raining, which caused water spots on my brand new ceiling tiles. They did pay for that damage, but that was only the beginning of several serious issues. The project consultant, Ryan, told me the house “was not structurally level” or that my “fascia boards were warped” when I pointed out that part of the roofline didn’t look right. When Mike, a manager, came out to inspect the problem, he discovered that the drip edge had been installed on top of planter holders instead of removing them or asking me to do so. This caused the drip edge to sit unevenly and made the roof appear crooked — something that should never have happened if proper care was taken. They also left dark brown adhesive all over my white gutters, which took nearly two months to get repaired. On top of that, their delivery truck cracked my concrete driveway. When I sent them an invoice for the damage, they refused it and gave me just 16 hours’ notice before showing up and doing concrete work without my permission, even after they were told not to because I had other contractors scheduled who needed to use the driveway. Throughout the process, I was met with excuses, poor communication, and a lack of accountability. Despite their many good reviews, my experience was the opposite. I would never recommend Fargo Roofing and Siding to anyone — I truly wish I could give 0 stars."

"I wanted to share how happy I am with the work done by Fargo Roofing & Siding. They recently replaced the roof on my house, and I’m really pleased with everything. The team was professional and got the job done quickly. The quality of their work was great. I especially want to mention the crew. Brian, the crew chief, knew exactly what he was doing and made sure everything was perfect. Andy, the job supervisor, kept me updated throughout the project. Overall, I’m really happy with Fargo Roofing & Siding and would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs roofing work. Thanks, Chad Rach"

"Customer service was great right from the first phone call I made for help. James Kast called me back right away and was here within an hour of my first phone call. James was very efficient, friendly and explained everything he found. Turned out vent cap I found on the ground after a strong wind came from my neighbors roof not mine. I wasn’t charged anything for his time even though I offered. If I ever need roof or siding work done, I will be hiring this company!"
